ABOUT ME

I am a Licensed Social Worker in the states of New York and Illinois. I received my Master’s degree in Social Work from Columbia University in New York City. My professional journey has equipped me to address a spectrum of challenges, specializing in mood disorders, the complexities of chronic illness, relationship dynamics, and navigating life's transitions. I work with both individuals and couples.

Therapy provides a space for support, honesty, and growth. I believe that this is most successful when it comes from a collaborative and empowering place between client and therapist. Therefore, I aim to create a warm and accessible therapeutic atmosphere. In combination with my personal style of insightful discussion, humor and deep empathy, I embrace a strength-based approach, which recognizes the tools you already possess. This blended approach helps my client improve their lives with through existing strengths and new to fuel ongoing development and growth.

THERAPEUTIC FOCUS: LIFE TRANSITIONS AND SELF-LOVE

Life transitions and the cultivation of self-love are focal points of my practice. We’ve all experienced it—life changes quickly; whether it’s a pregnancy, a new job, a diagnosis, or a new city, transitions challenge us to grow and adapt. In the face of change, you might feel a mix of excitement, anxiety, and everything in between. There’s no need to fear these feelings for they tell a story and help us understand what we need to thrive as our lives change. Together, we will navigate the impact of past experiences on your present, identifying helpful thought patterns and process the unproductive ones. The result—you will feel more capable and confident to embark on your new change.

Our self-perception shapes our worldview. Many of my clients grapple with questions around purpose, which can cause low self-esteem. I focus on reframing negative self-talk to enhance my client’s internal experience, fostering a positive outlook on the world. When we feel good about ourselves on the inside, we improve the view of the outside world. Embrace the journey of self-discovery and growth in a space where support and empowerment guides the path forward.
