ABOUT ME

Navigating the fog of grief and the waters of your reproductive journey can feel like sailing through uncharted territory. I am Kristin, a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I want to walk beside you as you find your way through these complex and deeply personal experiences. My passion for my work is reflected in my counseling style. I am warm, genuine, and truly believe in the healing of my clients. My approach centers on caregivers and parents, who often feel pressure to be everything to everyone. As individuals and couples navigate life transitions, traumatic experiences, and challenges, I partner with my clients and help them identify and strengthen their skills and resilience. I provide a space of safety and acceptance so that my clients can express themselves and be fully and authentically seen. I want to support and encourage folks as they seek to thrive within their families of origin and the families and communities that they create for themselves.

THERAPEUTIC FOCUS: CHARTING A PATH TO HEALING

Whether your history includes acronyms like TTC, IVF, GC, TFMR, or you’re faced with the heartache of a changing vision for your family, my practice centers around the importance and impact of your reproductive stories. Imagine our therapy sessions as a caring and open dialogue where warmth, compassion, and empathy illuminate the next steps on your path. We'll engage in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques, focusing on developing skills that help manage the changing tides of emotions and challenge thought patterns that may hold you back from healing. Mindfulness can be woven through our work together, creating moments of presence that anchor us, allowing for reflection and growth both in and outside of our sessions.

My education and training has equipped me as a pregnancy and infant loss advocate and adoption comptent therapist, I work with individuals and couples who have experienced reproductive grief due to failed fertility treatments, pregnancy loss at any stage, abortion, termination for medical reasons, disrupted adoption, stillbirth, or infant death.

I wholeheartedly believe that every person's grief is a unique journey that deserves to be witnessed and honored in its entirety. As such, my role is to walk with you, embracing the ebb and flow of emotions in moments of both sorrow and joy, bitter and sweet, recognizing and validating your experience every step of the way.

Your story is important, and I am here, ready to listen, support, and travel with you towards a horizon where peace and acceptance await.

I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to see how I can help you.
