ABOUT ME

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in family systems and mental health. I earned a master’s degree in Social Work from University of Illinois-Chicago.  With a focus on individual well-being, I have guided a range of clients through challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, LGBTQ concerns, life transitions, and grief/loss. In my therapeutic approach, I believe that each person is unique and comes with their own strengths and skills that can help them live more closely to their ideal sense of self.

I use a client-centered, nonjudgmental approach, with a focus on assisting individuals in gaining a deeper understanding of themselves. I draw from various therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Theory, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to increase insight and facilitate desired changes.

FOCUS: LIFE TRANSITIONS, MOOD & ANXIETY DISORDERS, COUPLES CONFLICTS

Life transitions can be daunting, I work with clients to process and heal from major life changes, manage their emotional responses, practice self-compassion, and reshape their beliefs. I am well-versed in treating mood and anxiety, as well as addressing couples’ conflicts.

Couples’ conflict can be linked to relationship dissatisfaction, divorce, domestic violence, functioning at work, parenting, and negative childhood outcomes. Further, couples’ conflict can have far-reaching effects on a host of mental and physical health problems for adults and children. My goals in helping couples are to effectively manage conflict, promote healthy communication, and improve connection and greater intimacy. As a therapist, am committed to assisting couples navigate their struggles and improve positive feelings towards each other and among their families.

Whether you seek individual or couples therapy, my goal is to provide a supportive and normalization space where you can gain tools to cope, feel less isolated, and work towards a happier, more fulfilling life. Your well-being is my priority, and together, we can navigate life's challenges and promote positive change.
