ABOUT ME

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Provider. I received my Master’s in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. My background includes working as a Perinatal Social Worker in both inpatient and outpatient healthcare settings. This has provided me with the unique opportunity to gain direct experience working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds, and who are experiencing some of the most challenging moments of their lives.  For almost a decade, my focus has included perinatal mood disorders, managing high-risk pregnancies, coping with complex medical diagnoses, perinatal loss, relationship issues, and the transition into parenthood. Other areas of focus include intimate partner violence and sexual assault.  My passion for perinatal mental health comes from having the privilege of working with many individuals and families during the reproductive journey. This was also strengthened by my own experience building my family.

SUPPORTING YOUR JOURNEY TO PARENTHOOD

Your journey to starting a family may include unexpected emotions and experiences. Sometimes the path to parenthood can be medically complicated, impacted by depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders, or stricken by grief and loss. I hold space for clients and their partners as they experience expansive love and joy to devastating loss and fears. It is during these times that developing a patient, supportive, and trusting relationship is the key to the healing process.

As a therapist, I take an individual approach to create an environment where my clients feel heard, create goals, utilize strengths, as well as develop new skills to manage the unexpected. My goal is to help individuals and couples through life’s greatest challenges, moments of crisis, or just the day-to-day obstacles we encounter in life and on our journey to parenthood.

I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to see how I can help you.
