ABOUT ME

As a certified nurse-midwife, I have ten years of experience providing sensitive and affirming primary and sexual/reproductive health care to women, female-assigned, and trans-identified persons across the lifespan. Originally from New York, I obtained my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Nursing at New York University. Prior to coming to Nurture Therapy, I worked in primary and sexual/reproductive health in several Chicago non-profit clinics serving BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, HIV+, and immigrant communities.

Trauma-informed and passionate about mental health, I bring both personal and professional experience to my patients facing anxiety, depression, and difficulties navigating the many challenges of life. Whether you are facing infertility, IVF/assisted reproduction, pregnancy loss, difficult and high-risk pregnancy, anxiety/depression during and after pregnancy, previous trauma, chronic pain, low sexual desire and sexual pain/ dysfunction, unhealthy relationships with food, or midlife changes, I want to support you to be your best self.  Drawing on my experience as a clinician and educator, I am passionate about collaborating with people by communicating my knowledge and choosing medications and treatments based on shared decision-making.

I am holistic in my approach to health and well-being and work to provide culturally humble care that is feminist, gender affirming, trauma-informed, anti-racist, sex-positive, sex-work affirming, and fat liberationist. I am a parent/caregiver of two toddlers and identify as a queer, trans/non-binary, neurospicy, fat/ fluffy, polyamorous, kinky, survivor of violence; I promise to provide a safe judgment-free space to any and all persons seeking medication management and support.

APPROACH TO MEDICATION MANAGEMENT

In my practice, I believe in a comprehensive and compassionate approach to medication management. Understanding that each individual’s journey is unique, I take the time to thoroughly assess your specific needs, symptoms, and concerns. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Personalized Care: Every treatment plan is tailored to you. We will work together to find the most effective medications with the least side effects, ensuring that your treatment fits seamlessly into your life.

  • Collaboration: Medication management is a collaborative process. I value your input and experiences, and we will regularly discuss how you are feeling and any adjustments that may be needed. Your feedback is essential in fine-tuning your treatment plan.

  • Education and Support: I provide clear information about how different medications work, potential side effects, and what to expect during your treatment. My goal is to empower you with knowledge and support, so you feel confident and comfortable with your medication regimen.

  • Holistic Approach: Medication is one component of a broader treatment strategy. I integrate medication management with other therapeutic approaches, such as cognitive and somatic therapies, to address both the mind and body. This comprehensive approach helps to optimize your overall well-being and recovery.

  • Safety and Monitoring: Your safety is my top priority. I closely monitor your response to medication and any side effects, making necessary adjustments to ensure the best possible outcomes. Regular follow-ups and open communication are key aspects of my approach.

My aim is to guide you towards wellness with compassion and expertise, providing a balanced and effective medication management plan that supports your mental health. Start your healing journey with me.
